Made me smile…Calgary Child and Family Photographer09.08.09

I had to come back and share these images as I continued to work through this session.  These made me smile.  These types of pictures are always the images that I am looking for in a session…the real ones…the giggles, the cuddles and the reactions.  Love it!Calgary Child Photographer 8Calgary Child Photographer 9Calgary Child Photographer 10

Sneak peek – Calgary Children and Family Photographer09.07.09

I was thrilled to have the opportunity to update this client’s portraits again this year.  Their daughter is FUN.  She loves bright colours, she has fabulous hair and eyes and a fantastic personality to match!  I learned a little more about Hannah Montana – my daughter is not quite there yet.  C, D, and J it was great to see you again…I will have the rest of your gallery up early this week.

He has arrived – Calgary Newborn Photographer09.02.09

I have to start off by saying that I am having trouble finding the words to explain this sneak peek – I will follow that up with the fact that I often have a tough time blogging as writing does not come naturally to me!  Anyway I do my best… This session will go down as one of my favourites.  This client originally inquired about my services in the spring as she and her husband were adopting a baby and she wanted to make sure she liked me and she also wanted to make sure that I would be able to accommodate her on short notice.  Well, fortunately she liked me and yes, of course, I make it work so that I could accommodate her on short notice (the call came this Saturday and I was there Monday and yes, there is already a sneak peek).  I apologize to the families still waiting for a sneak peek:).   It is always an amazing experience to be able to capture a new life but it is particularly special when the parents have had to wait so long for something they wanted so much.  This little boy is so blessed to have arrived into a home where he is so loved.  That love just oozes from the pictures.  This experience on top of my own baby turning 3 a few days ago and my son going off to kindergarten made me very thoughtful on Monday.  A and P congratulations and thank you very much for allowing me to capture this awesome time in your lives.

First of many… – Calgary Family Photography09.02.09

blog posts again this week – okay, so it is now Wed so maybe just a couple more.  I have fallen behind over the last couple of weeks.  With a bunch of commercial projects, client art projects/orders, the beginning of full-day kindergarten for my son, my daughter turning 3 (wow, who knew that these last two would be so emotional for this mom), tons of family in town, coordinating the next social series (details coming!), some summer fun and of course, some awesome family sessions with returning and new clients. I am going to do my very best this week to get back on top of everything and to share what has been going on here.  I keep telling clients that are booking to check my blog for my latest work and I have been so behind with actually getting something up here!  Not sure that this will change for the next 3-4 months!

The first family to grace my blog this week is a client that I have gotten to see each year for the last few years.  I am extremely appreciative of all of the amazing families that come and see me each year.  I love watching your families grow and change each year!  This week again, I have been reminded as to how quickly time flies and your children grow up.  It is really neat to get the opportunity to capture this for others.  Thank you!  R Family, it was so great to see you again.  You girls are gorgeous and a blast to shoot!

Mommy cuddle – Calgary Family Photographer08.19.09

Is there anything better than that? I know I certainly love to be on the giving side of them! This is another one of my annual clients. I have had the great pleasure of doing family portraits for this client each year. And obviously they get my style and realize that traditional family portrait is not what I strive for. I want to capture your relationships and these guys always make my job easy! G & S it was great to see you again! E & S are adorable and an absolute pleasure!
