…a great way to end 2009 and begin 2010. These shots were from my last session of 2009. What a way to end the year and begin this blogging year. What a gorgeous baby! Look at her beautiful hair! One of the shots was a quick picture as mom was cuddling her baby (the backs of their heads). I love the feel of it!  I am so excited about all of the newborn sessions that I have coming up over the next few months!

Although this mom found me on the internet, we later discovered we are neighbours…small world. J and D, I look forward to seeing you around the neighbourhood. I will have the rest of your gallery up soon.

Thank you and Happy New Year | Calgary Photographer12.31.09

I can’t even believe that we are nearing the end of another year. 2009 was a great year with some awesome personal and business successes. I would like to thank all of the friends, family and clients, who have made 2009 fantastic. I am so looking forward to what 2010 will bring. New year…new decade.

It was so nice after an extremely busy fall/Christmas season to have a bit of downtime with my family. We had my Dad join us for the days over Christmas and participate in some traditions that we have been done in our house over the last few years. Gingerbread house decorating…it seems that this tradition did actually require all of the professionals that we had last year…the structural integrity was completely off with the attempt of the two engineers that we had this year…thankfully neither are practicing in this area anymore;).

Then it was time to work some turkey off with a couple days of sledding! FUN!

Oh, and the last picture…I had to include one of myself. I came across this as I was starting to clean up my hard drive. This was shot as I was playing with the fish-eye that I rented for the Cherry Four shoot this summer. And the face…well, if you follow my blog, this is where my children get this one from!

Here is to sending off 2009 and welcoming 2010! Have a happy and healthy 2010!

I had the great pleasure of capturing this little guy’s newborn pictures a few months ago. A little look back at this here. I can’t even believe it he is already three months old…it is amazing how much he has changed already. Final "Fall" pictures | Calgary Children's Photographer11.06.09

So I was able to sneak in one more “fall” shoot this past weekend. It was still a bit chilly  but I am so glad that we decided to get outside. This is the fourth year that I have worked with this family. I LOVE watching the children grow. These girls are always a pleasure to work with – they are so sweet. The little one is usually quite shy but was full of stories this time and grabbed my hand as we were walking to our location. The eldest daughter has now lost some teeth and was so proud to show me! A & R thank you for your patronage.Calgary Children's Photographer 33Calgary Children's Photographer 35Calgary Children's Photographer 36Calgary Children's Photographer 30Calgary Children's Photographer 34Calgary Children's Photographer 31Calgary Children's Photographer 32

Overwhelming admiration | Calgary Family Photographer11.02.09

I have overwhelming amounts of respect and admiration for this family! They have been presented with obstacle after obstacle and they still continue to fight and maintain a positive energy. Their son has a rare form of dwarfism and continually faces life-threatening circumstances (his story is described on their website www.ourlittlemiracle.info). They are one of the most inspiring families that I have ever had the pleasure of working with and I am so honoured to have the opportunity to help them tell their story through pictures. This mother’s devotion, love, patience and strength is so completely inspirational! Unfortunately dad was not able to make it to the session but we will be sure to have them all back soon for a family update!
