I met with this client a few months ago to meet her and begin planning their session. She came by to see the studio as she wanted to shoot with the hardwood exposed. It was nice to have the texture of the floor. I had a blast getting work with this 4 year old as she was adorable and very patient. Thus allowing me to try a few things with the new equipment! E, D and N it was great working with you and I will have the rest up soon!

Introducing a couple of additions…|Calgary Children's Photographer01.08.10

I have added a couple of pieces of equipment to the Tot Shots family. I am so excited!! It has been awhile since I upgraded my camera and there are a ton of amazing camera bodies out there that I have been drooling over. Well the time finally came!!! So here is an introduction to the D700 and a new fixed 105mm! My little one helped me test it out today so that I could be ready for this weekend. One of the reasons that wanted this model in particular was its ability at higher ISOs. I had to shoot a few natural light images at an ISO of 800. It is amazing…and I know that it can to better based on the reviews. I am so looking forward to getting outside with it this weekend!

The detail that the new lens can pick up is amazing. I can’t even wait to capture some newborn details over the next little while!

Have a great weekend!

Thank you and Happy New Year | Calgary Photographer12.31.09

I can’t even believe that we are nearing the end of another year. 2009 was a great year with some awesome personal and business successes. I would like to thank all of the friends, family and clients, who have made 2009 fantastic. I am so looking forward to what 2010 will bring. New year…new decade.

It was so nice after an extremely busy fall/Christmas season to have a bit of downtime with my family. We had my Dad join us for the days over Christmas and participate in some traditions that we have been done in our house over the last few years. Gingerbread house decorating…it seems that this tradition did actually require all of the professionals that we had last year…the structural integrity was completely off with the attempt of the two engineers that we had this year…thankfully neither are practicing in this area anymore;).

Then it was time to work some turkey off with a couple days of sledding! FUN!

Oh, and the last picture…I had to include one of myself. I came across this as I was starting to clean up my hard drive. This was shot as I was playing with the fish-eye that I rented for the Cherry Four shoot this summer. And the face…well, if you follow my blog, this is where my children get this one from!

Here is to sending off 2009 and welcoming 2010! Have a happy and healthy 2010!

I had the great pleasure of capturing this little guy’s newborn pictures a few months ago. A little look back at this here. I can’t even believe it he is already three months old…it is amazing how much he has changed already. Final "Fall" pictures | Calgary Children's Photographer11.06.09

So I was able to sneak in one more “fall” shoot this past weekend. It was still a bit chilly ┬ábut I am so glad that we decided to get outside. This is the fourth year that I have worked with this family. I LOVE watching the children grow. These girls are always a pleasure to work with – they are so sweet. The little one is usually quite shy but was full of stories this time and grabbed my hand as we were walking to our location. The eldest daughter has now lost some teeth and was so proud to show me! A & R thank you for your patronage.Calgary Children's Photographer 33Calgary Children's Photographer 35Calgary Children's Photographer 36Calgary Children's Photographer 30Calgary Children's Photographer 34Calgary Children's Photographer 31Calgary Children's Photographer 32
