Today looks a bit different…10.02.17

…with a layer of snow on the ground;). We have been having a beautiful fall though and it has been so awesome to see so many families for updates. The fall colours have been spectacular!! It has been a few years since I last saw this family and the girls had grown up so much. They are beautiful girls with fantastic energy. I loved how the older daughter would come up with ideas for images and then the little one wanted to do the same…so cute! More soon!

Grad session07.13.17

Ok, I need to start off by saying, I can’t even believe that some of my clients are now graduating from high school! Seriously!! Now that that is out of the way, I had a ton of fun getting to capture this lovely young lady with her horses. I love that I was hired to capture what she loves to do and not just what she looks like. These horses are a huge part of this girl’s life and it is so great to get to capture her with them. It was also extra special to get to watch her jump and get right in the middle of the action. Thank you to her trainer for allowing that! Congratulations T and you have some very exciting times ahead of you in the next chapter of your life!!

Adorable family12.13.16

So I have been a TERRIBLE blogger over the fall and really over this entire year…I am going to try to correct that over the next few weeks (while my daughter is out of some of her bazillion activities…but that is another story) and go back and share a ton of the sessions that I have had of adorable families. Thought I would start way back in Aug with one of the most adorable families that I got to shoot this year…and I am not only saying that because they are related to me but because they really are this adorable:). This is my cousin and his family…their kids are not only adorable on the outside and brimming with family resemblance but they are so full of spirit and personality that it has ended up being one of my favourite sessions all year:).

No worries05.25.16

He was worried he would not be able to pull it off, he was worried that she would not be happy that they were not dressed up, he was worried about the weather (maybe that was just me…the forecast was snow:)…it all did not matter (which was what I told him). I knew she would not care about any of it when she knew what he had done. For 8 months he had been planning this surprise of having me join them at the place where they return every year to celebrate where they got married 10 years ago. This will go down as one of my favourite sessions of all time…not fancy, but so special and so much love. They have been together for 26 years and are still one of the most loving families that I get to work with. It is my pleasure to be able to continually capture their story:).

Birthday session12.29.15

I have been so terrible at blogging this year but I had to go back and share this session from early November. I traveled to AZ to take underwater images of this swimmer as a birthday gift from her parents. I could not be more excited about this session as it is the daughter of a good friend (and my daughter and I got to enjoy a fantastic visit with them for a few days) but also capturing someone with the same childhood sport that I had, was super fun!:). I was on the swim team as a child so love that we could get some cool images for her…apparently there are not a lot of “swim photographers” out there:). I am super excited about the art piece that is going along with this session and will share when it is complete:).
