We just like being together04.30.15

“We just like being together” were the words that this client wrote on the information form that I sent out to her when asked what their favourite things are to do as a family. I love this…as a parent (and then future grandparent and in this case a great-grandparent)…this is all you could want from your family.

I have had the opportunity to spend a fair amount of time with this client as we document the first years of her boys’ lives. I also got to spend a morning with the whole family a couple of trips ago as I was invited for brunch. And they really do “just like being together”…from cooking together to playing on the floor to putting on little musical shows. So kudos to Nana who is not only turning 90 soon (which is cause enough for celebration) but for having a family that “just like being together”. calgary family photographer

Laughing04.27.15

This is the first time that I had the pleasure of working with this family. The boys were a little shy at first and then relaxed so we could get some laughter shots and great smiles:). The laughing shot is one of my favourites!

Growing up04.26.15

These girls are growing up into lovely little ladies. Such a change since the last time I saw them! It is so fast and I am so thrilled to get to document this for clients:).

Secret04.24.15

Ok, these pictures are to be a gift for Dad for Father’s Day…so if you know him, please don’t tell. I have worked with this little cuties for many years…I will have to go back and try to find some old images for comparison. Until then I knew mom would be excited to see so had to get them out:).

As you will see, the little one has a black eye…which brings back memories of myself. There were two years in a row that I had a black eye for Christmas (and birthday since it is close to Christmas) pictures. One year, I ran into the arm of one of our kitchen chairs as I attempting to jump into someone’s arms (sadly I am still pretty klutzy:) and then in kindergarten a child bit (yes, bit) my eye.

Anyway, so glad that we were able to capture a whole realms of bits of personality of each of these three:).

Child Portrait Project04.23.15

I have now wrapped up the Portrait Project that I had for this year and had a blast. I will be sharing more from those sessions and others through the week. This project was a ton of fun for me. I really wanted it to be for the kids to come in and just be themselves so I can document where they are right now for their parents. It was so much fun!! It did confirm that I get a little carried away when I am shooting though…might be a few more than 10 to choose from:). Here are a few of a new client so I don’t have past images to compare changes yet with this one.

Also, I have booked all of my flights now through the end of the year and will have the dates remaining up shortly.:)
