Santa’s little helper | Calgary Family Photographer10.15.13

Do you see him peeking out in the first photo?:)  This family has nicknamed their awesome little dog “Santa’s little helper” after the dog off Simpson’s.  He is so cute:).

This client owns Love 2 Heal and I have to plug her business because she is an amazing massage therapist (conveniently located in the Mission area).  Definitely one of the businesses that I don’t get out to support often enough but should!  They are such an amazing family and always so great to work with…even with a teenager that we were trying to catch in the moment.  Great to see you guys again!!

Time | Calgary Family Photographer10.11.13

The following link popped up into my FB feed this morning from a photographer whose work I love and it is a fitting reminder.  Her words like her work are always so true and wonderfully crafted and yet simple…

time
precious and fleeting
unstoppable
time gives
time takes
your past is a memory
your future is a mystery
all you know for certain
is your time now
this very moment
each day a present
how will you spend your time?
from the time you rise
till the time you rest
it’s a choice
your choice
what will your legacy be?
that you lived your life fully
and spent your time well
that you were kind and good and giving
i hope so
because time is a gift
i will do my best
to cherish every minute
and celebrate my time
but for now
it’s time to say
thank you
for your time!

As we are coming into the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend – time is something that I am so thankful for.  I do my best to use my time mindfully and best service my family and our needs.  I am thankful to be able to do this and do realize that it is a great gift.  Enjoy your time with your families this weekend.

A share from the time that I had with this family a couple of weeks ago.  Even though the youngest’s age can be one of the most challenging ages to photograph it has always been one of my favourites…  Loved hanging out in this family’s gorgeous backyard to capture some of the moments from these years for them.

Busy Boys | Calgary Family Photographer10.07.13

Mom warned me that this would be a busy session…and it was but it was so much fun!  This is what I train for.  Even my game of “I am going to get you”…turned on me:).  A and P, it is always great to see your family!  Lots more soon!

Light | Calgary Family Photographer10.07.13

I loved this session.  Not only is it a family I get to see each year that is always so well coordinated and so close but the light in this session was gorgeous.  I had to bump up the ISO by the end of the session but the results were fantastic.  G, it was great to see your family again and I can’t wait to show you the rest!
