Procrastination or a break:)02.12.14

We will call this post a break rather than tax procrastination:).  I am getting very close to getting my financials done so we will call this a break.  Fun with the little one at the park on the weekend.  It is amazing to see how she is growing…her hands don’t have the baby chub anymore…she is stretching out…but she still has not lost any baby teeth:).

The good old days02.07.14

Some days feel so chaotic right now running from activity to activity…meditating squabbles…making sure everyone gets their amount of attention…  So happy to capture little moments like this to remind me that these are the “good old days” and they don’t last long.

GF, fun family sport time, missing teeth and hair beards/moustaches01.29.14

This is one of my best girlfriends and her adorable little family.  We have typically done studio sessions in the past…they are not studio people:).  They are an extremely active family from skating to tobogganing to yoga to skiing to running to soccer to hockey…  So I was thrilled when they asked to do a tobogganing session in December.  Well, December got away on us so we rescheduled for January.  Then after copious amounts of snow, the weather decided to warm up significantly the week prior to our session…melting much of the hill we were planning on using.  No worries…we will pick another sport…skating.  Well, wouldn’t you know, we also happened to pick one of the warmest winter days…13 degrees.  No worries, her husband takes care of the ice at the rink we were using… so out came the zamboni…ice was too slushy for that too.  Anyway…we made it work.  There were not as many twirls and jumps as we had planned but had a ton of fun all the same…really capturing this family as they should be…outside:)

2013 review and website update01.13.14

I love going back through the past year and reviewing images.  2013 was a great year for Tot Shots and know that 2014 will be even better!  It is such a pleasure to see each family’s uniqueness highlighted – I love that!  I have gone through and updated my website with some of my favourites images from last year – which is a bit of a daunting task as I tend to overshoot:).  I still have to go through my personal pictures…still have not put together my annual books for my in-laws.  Will have some of my personal favourites here soon!  Here are a bunch of images and please check out more favourites on my portfolios on my website.  Looking forward to capturing more of your memories this year!

Enjoying their favourite park12.19.13

This is the first time that I met this family but was so excited when they chose a winter session at the park that they have spent many hours at over the years.  It was so pretty last weekend:)…and I am thankful that the weather was warmer that it had been.  Captured a bit of chinook arch too:).  Their daughter was so smiley and had the BEST giggle!  Love the snuggle shots and the adorable “father/daughter lookJ and K it was fantastic to meet you and capture a bit of your history for you as you move into a new chapter!  Promise to have more out soon!
