CIBC Run for the Cure – Calgary Children’s Photographer

If you follow my blog, you will know that I am participating in the CIBC Run for the Cure on October 4th with 15 other team mates. I am so excited to say that we have already raised $4000 (80% of the goal that I outlined). Thank you to everyone for their support!

This past weekend would have been my mum’s 63 birthday and unfortunately it is the third one without her. Needless to say…difficult. Although this year seems to be a bit more clear for me…it does not seem to get much easier. I did, however, enjoy the day with my children as I know my mum would have loved to have done. I have included a couple of pictures of my kids from some big milestones of theirs over the last few weeks. My son started Kindergarten this year, wow, and my baby turned 3. So here are a couple of pictures from those occasions.

I am WAY behind on sharing client sessions…I have had a ton of newborns lately in addition to the family pictures…I promise to get some of these sessions up ASAP. It will be a busy blogging week!!

I just wanted to follow up this morning with an update on “Comments for the Cure” last week. I received about 50 comments between what was posted on my blog and received through email. I have doubled this and donated to the CIBC Run for the Cure to kick it off. Thank you for all of your comments and kicking the new blog off. I am planning on doing another day of Comments at the end of September once the new blog has returned to regular traffic levels. Oh, I figured out the Subscribe by Email button this weekend so if you are interested in receiving information on my blog posts (without having to check back all of the time), please subscribe here. Yahoo! – Calgary Children’s Photography

It is all coming together!! I have finally got the new blog and website up and running. I am sure there will be a bit of tweaking required here and there but thrilled to have a large portion of this complete. I had not expected to be making this project a priority at this time but really wanted a new blog in place (who knew that would have to result in a new website too). Fortunately it is something that I had been thinking about for awhile and just had not made priority. The process was relatively painless because I knew exactly what I wanted and I am really happy with the results. I have an extremely important post coming up this week to kick things off!!!
