I feel so fortunate to have a job that brings me so much joy and gets to capture so much joy. My job energizes me and makes me feel very alive (of course, this is in addition to my family and exercise:). I am very grateful for the wonderful clients that I have that allow me to do something that I absolutely adore. This is just one for this family that I am so lucky to capture each year. Thank you! Watch Me Grow – 6 months |Calgary Baby Photographer

You have seen this client many times (I think that we determined that this is the 9th session in 4 years) and this time we were shooting the little ones 6 month pictures. We got a bunch of family pictures and then broke down to get the baby roll pictures, the sitting up, grabbing of toes and, of course, the drool:) And we cannot forget big sister who is an absolute joy to work with. I love how she is trying to escape from dad’s lips this time;) Also love the look on her face as she was trying to save her hair from the grasp of her little sister.

I have had the pleasure of shooting these children on a number of occasions. The focus was on the daughter this time but we also got a couple of family shots as they are nice to have. I absolutely loved her imagination and following her on her adventure. She found a parting in the bushes and headed through just like Alice in Wonderland. As you will see these images have a bit more of a whimsical feeling to them (as I thought that it really worked for these). It was a lot of fun and she was a great model:)

Is anyone else counting down to the end of the school year and the end of spring activities? June is always a crazy month with kids…and for pictures. I guess before everyone departs on holidays. So I am behind…way behind (fortunately everyone else is busy enough that they are not noticing or too worried about it:). Here is an image that I loved from the beginning of the month. I promise to share more from this month…there have been some awesome sessions!

I was excited when this little guy’s mom contacted me to get pictures of her little guy. His mom was noticing that she did not have as many pictures of him as she does of her other two children. Well, I can definitely fix that:) So we enjoyed a lovely morning at the park just letting him do the things that he loves. Very fun! His sister came along as well and although mom had not prepped her for pictures, I could not help myself. I think that it definitely shows that it does not matter what you are wearing…even jammies make for great moments:)

I was so excited to learn that this family had recently welcomed a son to their family. You may recognize the little girl from the welcome page on my website. It is such a joy to watch families grow. As I have been recently REALLY realizing how quickly my children are growing up, the last few sessions have taken me back to when my second was born and how big my son seemed…but he was still so small. The picture of the little girl with her thumb in her mouth brought me back:) It is such a pleasure for me to capture these times for others!

Three months old…already! If you follow my blog, you will know this family well as I was reminded during this session that this is our 8th session together over the last few years! This family has set up sessions every three months for a Watch Me Grow package so that we capture all of the milestones throughout the first year as they did with their first daughter.

Some of my favourite shots from this session were the interaction with these sisters and the delicate features of the little one. It is difficult to choose favourites from their sessions though:)

I wanted to get a sneak peek up for this family before the weekend. These little guys were so awesome to work with. Mom was a little worried that they would be shy with me but it was nothing a few animal noises, “off key” twinkle, twinkles and a game of peek-a-boo couldn’t fix;) I had to include the variety of facial expressions though – love that! J and S enjoy your sneak peek. More soon.

I have had the pleasure of working with this family a number of times over the last year and most recently to welcome their new addition. The little guy was SOOOO good with his new sister. He was incredibly gentle. I was super impressed as this age is typically pretty busy and “posing” for pictures with the new little one that has shaken up their world is not usually top of the list. He was awesome:) And the little one…gorgeous! Love her rolls:)
