About Jody

Hello and welcome to my blog.  I am a Calgary family photographer specializing in maternity, newborn, baby, children and family portraits.  I offer both studio and location (natural light) options for clients.  My style has been characterized as real.simple.clean.fun and I strive to capture the personalities of your little ones as well as document your family connections.  The centrally located studio showcases beautiful examples of how we can turn these images into fine art pieces to decorate your homes with the ones you love.  Thanks for stopping by and for your feedback!

Love 2 Eat – Calgary Photographer

I have made it pretty clear how much I love my job but one of the other things that I love is to eat.  Let me clarify…I like to eat good food!  I can still remember some of my favourite dishes from travels.  I love tasty, healthy, colourful, savoury, well put together, flavourful food!  Fortunately I do like to cook too (when I have time) and very thankfully, I love to workout!  Anyway, the whole point is that I had the fantastic opportunity to shoot a commercial shoot last week for the lovely Barb Thomas of Love 2 Eat in her new space and teaching kitchen.  Barb is a holistic nutritionist that is PASSIONATE about her job as well.  She and her chefs are experts in putting together amazing combinations using the most healthy ingredients!  What could be better than that.   It is such a treat to work with people who love what they do.  So then to top it all off…they were making raw chocolate while I was there.  Seriously, does it get any better!  It was the most amazing chocolate that I have every had (sorry, Mr. Callebaut) and it was healthy!  The orange and cayenne chocolate was unbelievable!

Barb will also be speaking at my third Social Series this year.  She spoke at the second event about Whole Foods and the response was overwhelming.  So I have decided to have her come back.  This time she will be speaking on food with respect to disease and it’s prevention.  The  topic for this session was chosen to coincide with the CIBC Run for the Cure.  Invitations will be sent out later this week.
