Kira’s Day

I was fortunate to be involved in a charity event (www.kirasday.org) this past weekend.  My donation was a bit of a last minute silent auction entry due to all that has been going on here and things slipping my mind.  I knew that it was a cause I wanted to support and fortunately one of my friends is involved in the planning for this event.  Anyway, we were able to get everything together so that I could do my part to help.  I was so impressed by this event and the generosity of Calgarians and their support for the Alberta Children's Hospital.  I know that all of us as parents appreciate the importance of this care facility.  The money raised will specifically go towards building Alberta's first children's hospice.  I am very much looking forward to working with the recipient of gift certificate and to being involved in this event for many years to come!  I will be sure to provide information prior to the event next year – it was a really fun night and the money goes to an amazing cause!
